Montecito Farm
Favorite Links

There are so many great websites out there that it's hard to come up with a short list of favorites. If you share in some of our interests, you might want to surf to some of these links. But make sure you've seen all there is to see at the Montecito Farm website before you go!

Mom's Websites:

Everything I know about computers, I learned from my mom; so I better list her websites first! :o)

  • Pat & Charlie's Home Page - Meet Linda's mom's family, read inspirational stories, and find more links to great sites. Be sure to sign Mom's guestbook and tell her Linda sent you.

  • Pat's Fun & Games - Mom's "Gamer's Site" - A great place to start if you're looking for games to play on the Internet. If you do play games, look for NMFarmer in the game rooms and high score boards!

  • Redeemer Lutheran Church - If you live in Albuquerque and are looking for a good Lutheran Church, this is the site for you. A nice example of a church website. Good job, Mom!

Foster Care / Foster Parenting / Foster Children:

  • Foster Parent Community - This is the absolute best site I have found for foster parents. It has message boards, chat rooms, guest speakers, online foster parent training, and tons of resources, articles, essays, and you-name-it having to do with foster and adoptive care. If you don't have a foster parent support group in your area, or even if you do - go to this site! You'll be glad you did.

  • Survivors of the System (SOS) - Foster Children United - Not only a terrific site for kids in or from foster care, but for parents, professionals, and anybody who is interested in foster care. Wonderful resources, touching stories.

  • Foster a Future! Adopt a New Mexico Child! - For anyone interested in being a forever family to one of the hundreds of New Mexico children awaiting adoption.

Organic Farming / Sheep / Wool

  • Seeds of Change - 100% Certified Organic. This is the place to get your seeds if you are starting an organic farm or garden. They also sell books, tools, and 100% organic food products. They guarantee their stuff and it usually shipped within 24 hours. Check out their Customer Garden Gallery and vote for your favorite organic garden.

  • Tierra Wools / Los Ojos Handweavers - A great site for weavers, spinners, wool growers, and anyone interested in the centuries old Hispanic weaving tradition still practiced in this beautiful northern New Mexico village.

  • Navajo-Churro Sheep - learn more about the history of this rare breed of sheep.

  • Taos Valley Wool Mill - Custom spinning of your fibers. Be sure to tell them Mickey & Linda sent you!
